I wanted to confirm that the first meeting of the new coalition, alliance, federation, chapter or whatever will take place next week Wednesday, March 2nd at 5:00 pm at the Swinging Door Saloon and Eatery. Future meetings will move to different neighborhoods, but downtown seemed like a good place to start and the Swinging Door is really downtown’s primary bike hang-out and it has food. I know this is the day after the MB3 meeting and some people might not be able to devote two evenings to bike advocacy, but we had already scheduled the date and time in a previous post. If you can’t make it, don’t worry, we will schedule another meeting soon.
I scheduled the start of the meeting for 5pm, but we won’t begin to discuss the agenda until 5:30. Realistically, this meeting could be over by 6:30, but we will call it formally at 7 pm. I expect this gathering will be lightly attended and have more of a social networking happy hour vibe than it will feel like a formal meeting, but I would still like to have some sort of agenda. Below is a tentative draft agenda, please make suggestions in the comments below for any other topics you think we should discuss.
